Aerating
We love to aerate, because it's one of the best things you can do for your lawn. We use Ryan aerators, the best core-type aerators in the business. These machines remove 2-1/2 to 3-inch plugs of thatch and soil, about 4 inches apart, and we sterilize them after each use. We never use spike-type aerators, which can actually compact the soil around the holes.
Among the many benefits of aeration are improved water absorption and bacterial breakdown of thatch, and better results from fertilizers. Read about it on Bob's blogs, Thatch and Why Aerate?
Any time of year is a good time to aerate, except in the heat of summer. Give us a call!
